Inger Marie Noelck, 86, Hampton, died Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 22, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton with the Rev. Jon Anderson officiating. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hampton.

Inger Marie was born on January 20, 1917, in Audubon County to Simon and Astrid (Arnvig) Faaborg. She graduated from Audubon High School and then went to graduate from Grand View College in Des Moines. Inger Marie grew up helping her father with farm work.

She was married to Emil Noelck on March 15, 1941, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Audubon County. They farmed near Kimballton for 20 years before moving to Hampton. Inger Marie worked several jobs, some of which included a country school teacher, nurses aid, a baker at Jennings's Bakery and a cook at the Gold Key in Hampton and also at the hospital in Hampton.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton. Inger Marie was a part of the Ladies Aid at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Hampton. She loved living out at Beeds Lake and watching the wildlife at the lake. She enjoyed growing flowers both indoors and outdoors. Inger Marie enjoyed different recipes and baking cakes for weddings and making Kransekage for special family events. Her faith was also important in her life as well as her Danish heritage.

She is survived by her husband, Emil Noelck of Hampton; daughter, Jane (Roy) Overturf of Nashua; son, Ivan (Karen) Noelck, Hampton; son Carl (Rhonda) Noelck of Belmond; brother, Einar (Elaine) Faaborg of Puyallup, Wash; sister, Edna (Dick) Jacobsen of Gig Harbor, Wash.; Otto (Shirley) Faaborg of Ames; seven grandchildren; Todd Overturf, Joel Overturf, Niki Overturf, Israel (Kristin) Noelck, Isaac Noelck, C.J. (Jen) Noelck and Isabella Noelck and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Sigrid Riddle and two grandchildren; Tony and Karrie Noelck.
