Last Rites Held on Monday for Mrs. J.A. Hansen

Funeral services for Mrs. Jacob A. Hansen, of Hampton, who passed away Friday at the Lutheran Hospital, in Hampton, were held Monday afternoon at the Vogel funeral home, in Hampton, and at St. John’s Lutheran Church, southwest of Hampton. Rev. W.R. Garred officiated at the last rites and burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hansen had been ill the past several weeks and had been a patient in the hospital for the past eight days.

She was born April 29, 1889, in Soro, Sjalland, Denmark.

On May 16, 1910, she was married to Jacob A. Hansen, in Quebec, Canada.

They came to the United States in 1910 and settled in Franklin County where they had since made their home. They engaged in farming until in 1944 when they retired and moved to Hampton.
Mrs. Hansen is survived by her husband, one son, Norman Hansen, of Hampton, four grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by one son, Art, who died at the age of twelve.
