Last Rites Held For Latimer Man
Funeral services for Peter Faber, age eighty-three, of Latimer, who passed away Thursday afternoon at the Franklin General Hospital, in Hampton, where he had been a patient for sixteen days, were held Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church, near Coulter. The VanHove funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Rev. W.R. Garred pastor of the church, officiated at the last rites and burial was made in the church cemetery. He had been in failing health for some time.

He was born September 12, 1879, at Tommerup, Denmark, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gorgen Faber. He came to America in 1904 and homesteaded in North Dakota for one year and then moved to Larimer area where he had since resided and engaged in farming.

He was married to Petia Evans on January 23, 1942.
He is survived by his wife, two sons by a previous marriage, Richard Faber, of Ames, and Fred Faber, of Hanlontown, and one daughter, Mrs. Virgil vanHouten, of Mason City, one brother, Thorvald Faber, of Lake Benton, Minnesota, and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, and two brothers.

Mr. Faber was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
