Father of Chapin Lady Died on March 20

Funeral services for Nels Rasmussen of Hampton, 78, father of Mrs. Marvin McKee of Chapin, were held Wednesday, March 20, in St. John's Lutheran Church near Coulter, with the Rev. David Larsen officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Nels M. Rasmussen was born Nov. 25, 1895, in Denmark, son of Mr. And Mrs. Soren Rasmussen.
He was married to Ellen Pedersen on May 10, 1917. Five children were born to this union. He farmed his entire lifetime.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen; four daughters, Mrs. Hilbur Andersen of Hampton, Mrs. Raymond Jensen of Sterling, Ill., Mrs. Jr. Golden of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Marvin McKee of Chapin; one sister, Mrs. Sena Dahl of Gruver, Tex.; two brothers, Hans Rasmussen of Hampton, Chris Rasmussen of Sheffield; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; one grandson; one brother.

Died March 20, 1974.
