Last Rites Held Mon. Afternoon For Holger Rasmussen

Holger T. Rasmussen, lifelong resident of Franklin County, passed away Friday evening at the Franklin General Hospital, services were held Monday afternoon, May 25, at St. John's Lutheran Church, southwest of Hampton, with the Rev. Sedoris N. McCartney officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Green & Sietsema Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born July 25, 1903, in Scott township, the son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Nels Rasmussen.

He was married to Mary Hansen, February 24, 1930, at St. John's Lutheran church. They engaged in farming and he had also been employed by Northrup King.

Mr. Rasmussen is survived by his wife, two sons, Edward Rasmussen of Newton and Dr. David Rasmussen of Boston, Massachusetts; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Baxter, of Bonnenstery, Idaho, and Mrs. Gould Jones, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church
He died May 22, 1970.
