Mabel Palmer, 83, of Hampton, died Friday, Oct. 3, at the Scenic Manor Care Center, Iowa Falls.

Funeral services will be held today, Oct. 7, at 10:30 a.m., at the St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton, with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Hampton. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton, is in charge of arrangements.

Mabel was born Feb. 12, 1914, in Hampton, daughter of Jorgen and Christine (Madsen) Paulsen. She married Cleo Palmer on Feb. 12, 1941, in Hampton. She was a homemaker and a cook. She was a member of St' John's Lutheran Church, Hampton.

She is survived by a son, Ronald Palmer of Hampton; a daughter, Janice Klingenberg of Hampton; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
