Arlyn Duane Oleson, 58, of Hampton, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at east Campus, North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 7, at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton, with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Sietsema-Vogel was in charge of the arrangements.

Arlyn was born Jan. 29, 1940, in Hampton, the son of Floyd Oleson and Thyra Hansen, In 1959, he graduated from Franklin County Consolidated Schools. He was employed by the Work Activity Center in Hampton, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton.

He is survived by his mother, Thyra Oleson of Coulter; two brothers, Don of Carroll, and Robert of Guthrie center; and one sister, Mary Tesdahl of Clarion. Arlyn was preceded in death by his father.
