Bernhard Christensen, age 63 of rural, Hampton, died suddenly Sunday morning near his farm home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran Church, southwest of Hampton, with the Rev. Sedoris N. McCartney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Sietsema & Pruyn funeral home, of Latimer, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Christensen, a lifelong resident of Franklin County, was born April 5, 1905, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nels Christensen.

He is survived by two brothers, Harold Christensen and Orvel Christensen, and one sister, Miss Letha Christensen, all of rural Hampton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Mr. Christensen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
