Chris Sondergaard, of Hampton, passed away Monday afternoon, January, 5, at the Franklin General Hospital where he had been a patient the last three months.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Thursday, at 2:00 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran Church, southwest of Hampton. Rev. Sedoris N. McCartney will officiate at last rites and burial will be in the church cemetery. The Vogel funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sondergaard was born April 28, 1893, in Haasum, Denmark the son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Jens Sondergaard. He came to the United States in 1913 and served with the U.S. Army during World War I.

He farmed until retiring in 1962.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Soren Heilskov, of Hampton, two brothers, Jens Sondergaard, of Hampton, and Laust Sondergaard, of Denmark, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
