Services for Agna Katherine Miller, 90, Hampton, were held Monday, Nov. 30, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hampton. The Rev. Tom Hungerford officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Miller died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1992, at Franklin General Hospital, Hampton.

She was born June 25, 1902, in Buena Vista County to N.C. and Marianne (Mikkelsen) Nielsen. She attended school in Buena Vista County and was a 70-year alumna of Grandview College, Des Moines.

On Oct. 10, 1923, she married Ezra P. Miller at Nain Lutheran Church, Newell. They moved to Sunny Valley Farm in Hamilton township where they lived for 69 years.

Mrs. Miller was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she served as Sunday school teacher for 20 years. Three times she served as delegate to synod conventions in Michigan and Minneapolis.
For 25 years Mrs. Miller served as 4-H leader, county 4-H committee member and chair, and was a chaperone to Washington, D.C., for 4-H members. She was a lifelong member of the Franklin County Farm Bureau women's organization, serving as county chair and representative on the county Farm Bureau board of directors. She traveled to Washington D.C., with Farm Bureau. Mrs. Miller also served many years on the Franklin County Extension Council.

Mrs. Miller sang in the Franklin County Women's Chorus when it performed in WOI, Ames, and she sang in the Vero Beach, Fla., tourist club chorus and performed in many programs. She enjoyed oil painting while in Florida, and was honored by the Miami Herald for an oil painting she created.
She traveled to Europe five times and enjoyed touring and visiting relatives in Denmark.

Survivors include her husband, Ezra, rural Hampton; two sons, Leo, rural Sheffield, and Armond, Newton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton, was in charge of arrangements.
