Services for Charles Henry McRoberts, 79, Hampton, were held Monday, July 23, at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton. The Rev. Tom Hungerford officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. McRoberts died Friday, July 20, 1990, at Franklin General Hospital, Hampton.

He was born April 19, 1911, in Bellevue, Neb., to Samuel and Emma (Wright) McRoberts.

On June 6, 1948, he married Esther Paulsen at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Mr. McRoberts was a farmer and Machinist at Sukup Manufacturing, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Esther, Hampton; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Chris) Rohlk, Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Helen McRoberts, Iowa falls; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded by in death by one brother, one sister and one step-sister.

Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton, was in charge of arrangements.
