Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton, Tuesday for Karen Marie Juhl of Coulter. She died at Franklin General Hospital Friday at the age 82.

Juhl was born Oct. 7, 1902, in Alborg, Denmark, the daughter of Gregers and Kristine Christensen Larsen.

She emigrated to the U.S. with her parents and younger brother in 1910. She married Roy E. Juhl at Algona July 3, 1925, and the couple spent their entire married life in Coulter where Mrs. Juhl was a homemaker.

Juhl was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church Women, Coulter Auxiliary, eastern Star, and the American legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include daughters Mrs. Sherwood (Barbara) Hansen of Hampton, Mrs. Delvin (Hellen) Stangl of Newall, Calif., Mrs. Wayne (Kay) Paullus of Larimer and Mrs. Wesley (Kren Beth) Wiley of Montara, Calif., 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, her husband in 1977 and a son, Gerald Juhl, in 1984.

The Rev. Milton Eklund officiated at the services, and burial was in the Coulter Cemetery. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton was in charge of the arrangements.
