Chapin - Funeral services for Mrs. D.E. Van Every were held here at the Congregational church Monday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Herbert marsh of Clarksville, a former pastor of the local church.
Pallbearers were Roy Hemm, C.G. Hemm, L.F. Heuber, Harrry Heuberger, C.J. Heuberger and F.M. McClintock. A quartet, Mrs. Ira Deam, Mrs. John Schmitt, W.G Crawford and T.D. Hamilton sang two numbers and Mrs. Otto Olson was pianist. Mrs. Roy Hemm and Miss Alice McClintock were in charge of the flowers.
The Rebekah lodge of Sheffield of which Mrs. Van Every was a member for over 40 years attended in a body.
Burial was made in the family lot in the old Chapin cemetery.
