Obituary from the “Iowa Recorder of Greene, Iowa dated 26 Jun 1929:
Clarksville

Mrs. Charles Mallo, aged 80, died at her home here after a months’ illness, Wednesday, June 19. Funeral services at the home by the Lutheran minister, Rev. A. W. Siefkes, Saturday afternoon. Burial in Lynwood cemetery.

She is survived by her husband and one brother, Henry Knight, of Clarksville.

(Her maiden name was Elizabeth Knight and she first married Alonzo Bailey. Following his death she married Alonzo Patterson, and after his death married Mr. Mallo, a civil war veteran.)
