Oldest Franklin County Resident Dies

Hampton - Louis Wellner, 99, Franklin County's oldest resident, died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Amanda Welner, in Hampton.

Mr. Wellner was born in Illinois Nov. 11, 1856. In 1886 he was married to Willa Meyer and the couple lived their entire married life in the Latimer community.

Survivors include daughter, Amanda, and sons, Henry, Louis and William of Hampton. He was preceded in death by his wife and daughter Mary.

Services will be held at the Greenfield Funeral Home, Hampton, with the Rev. H.H. Wintermeyer in charge. Burial will be at the Marion Center Church Cemetery.
