Glade V. Leigh 1901-1922

Glade Valmond Leigh was born in Dows, Iowa, on June 29, 1901, and passed away at Okmulgee, Okla., on May 21, 1922.

He came to Iola about fourteen years ago with his father, Mr. A.C. Leigh and his brother, Mr. Volney N. Leigh. Mr. Leigh was a successful mechanic in Iola for several years before going to Oklahoma and has many friends in Iola, Mildred and Chanute who will be grieved to learn of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Leigh, and twenty-on month old baby son Lawrence Lorraine, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Leigh, and sister Lenore of this city; a brother, Mr. Volney N. Leigh and wife of Okmulgee and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Wilcoxson of Eagleville, Mo.

The funeral services were held from the Sleeper-Ralston chapel on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment was made in Highland cemetery beside his brother, Byron V. Leigh.
