Chapin, Dec. 27 - William W. LeVitt, a former resident here, died in a hospital at Brookings, S. Dak., early Wednesday morning at the age of 62 years. Mr. LeVitt had been ill about 10 days with pneumonia. He had been engaged in farming in this community until about 25 years ago, then he moved to Brookings, S. Dak., and was a resident of that place at the time of his death.

He is survived by two sons, Ward and John of Sheffield and two daughters who reside near Brookings, his wife and little son, also his aged mother, Mrs. J.R. LeVitt and one brother, C.A. LeVitt of this place, and one brother, Joe of Brookings, S. Dak.

Short funeral services will be held here at the C.A. LeVitt home Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Mr. Rust of Sheffield, burial will be made in the old Chapin cemetery.
