Ackley, Ia., Sept 19 - Funeral services for John Withers, 78, were this afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Chapin. Burial will be in the Chapin cemetery beside his wife. Mr. Withers passed away Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Alice, following an illness of several months following a stoke of paralysis. He is survived by two daughters and two sons, Guy of Rowen, and Jack of Chapin, and several grandchildren.
