Mrs. Earl Ferris Killed In Crash—Died Early This Morning At The Hospital In Fergus Falls, Minnesota—Mrs. Ed Reagan Injured—Enroute To Dakota When The Two Cars Collide Near Fergus Falls—Mrs. Earl Ferris died early this morning from injuries received in an automobile collision near Fergus Falls, Minnesota, late yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Ferris was enroute to Warwick, North Dakota to visit her sister, Mrs. F. B. Conger, a former Hampton resident. Mrs. Ferris was being accompanied as far as Fergus Falls by her daughter, Mrs. Edward Reagan, of Hampton, who was to return to Hampton today with her brother, Wayne Ferris, who had been at Fergus Falls on a visit with R. M. St. Clair, member of the St. Clair & Butler men’s clothing store firm in Hampton.

Details of the accident are not immediately known in Hampton, but from reports it is believed that a large truck may have sideswiped the car in which Mrs. Ferris and her daughter were riding, about six miles from Fergus Falls. Mrs. Ferris was badly injured, but it was thought at first when she was taken to the hospital that her injuries would not prove fatal. However, her condition became more serious and she passed away early this morning. Mrs. Reagan was quite badly injured, suffering a broken arm, severed tendons and other serious injuries. She is in the hospital at Fergus Falls, where she underwent an operation last night and it is not known here the exact extent of her injuries. Which of the women was driving the Ferris car has not been learned here.

Native of Hampton—Mrs. Ferris, wife of the late Earl Ferris, was a lifelong resident of the Hampton community, having been born and raised in this city. She was about sixty-five years of age at the time of her death. One of Hampton’s most popular women, Mrs. Ferris exemplified the golden rule in her everyday life, and her every acquaintance will learn of her sudden death with sincere regrets. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edward Reagan, who was with her in the accident, Mrs. A. F. A. Kluever, stationed with her husband at an army base near Dayton, Ohio, now enroute home, and Wayne Ferris, manager of the Earl Ferris Nursery in Hampton.

Burial In Hampton—No plans for the funeral services have been made, pending the arrival of Mr. Ferris and Mrs. Kluever, who are expected to arrive in Hampton late this afternoon.
