Obituary from Hampton Chronicle, date unknown but in March 2004:
"Daren L. Green, Sr., 80, Clover, S.C. died Friday, March 12, 2004, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
"Funeral services were held at Big Spring United Methodist Church on Monday, March 15, with Reverend Gerald Ramsey and Pastor Lewis Gunn officiating. Burial was in the Sharon Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Big Spring United Methodist Church, 5300 Old Dowd Road, Charlotte, N.C. 28208 or to Lake-Wylie Christian Assembly, 5766 Charlotte Highway, Clover, S.C. 29710. Hankins & Whittington Dilworth Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
"Daren was born in Sheffield on May 20, 1923, to George Lewis and Hazel Switzer Green. Daren was a WWII and Korean War veteran. He was a member of Big Spring United Methodist Church, a loving husband father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
"Living family members include his children: Daren L. (Lynn) Green, Jr.; Steven (Peggy) Green; Donald (Amanda) Green; Gary (Patricia) Green; Catherine (Scott) McClelland: five step-children; a sister, Maxine Letzring; brothers: James and Robert (Vicki) Green; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
"He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Frances Green and his second wife Hazel Robinson Green."
