CARTER AND ARMSTRONG

I am looking for information on William B Carter. He arrived in Iowa in 1853. He is supposedly a nephew to my great grandfather x4, Andrew Bowen Armstrong. Andrew's family also came to Iowa in 1853, in Johnson county. I have an 1856 census with Andrew's wife Bethia listed as head of house, widowed and in the state for 3 years. Can not find any records on Andrew. Am looking for any information on William B Carter's family to see if there is a connection?I know Williams mother was Alice Hamilton (Armstrong) Carter. Thanks for any help
