AFtre examining records on familysearch.org, Ancestry.com I would suggest that errors were made on census records. Vermont Vital records are also subject to errors. It has been observed that persons do not always report to the census taker correct information or that the person answering questions of the census taker may be doing the best they caan to provide information As census takers made notes at the home of teh subject and then transcribed the notes later errors could be made.
