info on family

I have been trying to find info on my husband's family. Peter settled in Charles City around 1860. He made wagons. His wife Hattie passed away when Charles was born, Minnie went on to Europe in time, where she married a Russian prince. I have seen some articles, but can't seem to find them of the "Princess", so was wondering if there were any articles in papers in Charles City @ 1880 to 1935, especially because I know she still had family in the area that she did come visit a few times or were published because of the lifestyle she had while in Europe. There is a book with Peter's biography (of early settlers) that has a good amount of info which confirms the info I have from our family, but I was hoping I could find more info, photos, birth, marriage info, especially on Minne....or a Earl Arthur Rose.
