Trying to locate Floyd Cemetery records. Would there be the possiblity of funeral home records existing today from 1895. Looking for information on a 82 year old female, first name not listed, last name HARDY, died July 8, 1895 , buried Floyd Cemetery (would that be Oakwood Cem. ?) .. per Floyd County Courthouse records. I am sure that this woman was my Grt-Grt-Grandmother Waity (JOHNSON) HARDY who was living in Charles City when the Iowa census was taken in 1895 (age 82) and her daughter Susan was living with her. She probably went there after 1885, when my Grt-Grandfather was living in
Charles City. I have been unable to locate her grave. Her husband, Judge Charles Franklin HARDY is buried just northeast of Austin, Minnesota near the town of Brownsdale. I have walked the Oakwood Cem. twice, to no avail. Appreciate any assist. Thank you. Terry B. HARDY, Carlisle, Iowa .. (515) 988-8258 / 989-3324.
