Rites Held For Ray Keith, 65

Funeral services for Ray Arthur Keith were held Tuesday afternoon, January 31, at the Wilcox Funeral Home in Clear Lake with burial in Hillside Cemetery at Marble Rock. The Rev. William R. Dilsaver, pastor of the Christian Church, officiated.

Ray Arthur Keith was born on June 13, 1895, at Marble Rock to Frank and Etta (Dean) Keith. He attended the Marble Rock schools and the Christian Church. He was married to Wanda Davis of Marble Rock, December 5, 1916. The couple farmed in the Marble Rock area until her death in August 1922.

After retiring from farming, he moved to Webster City where he was employed as foreman for Zitter-all-Mills Construction Company for 25 years. On June 25, 1927 he was married to Fern Hope. They farmed near Charles City a few years after 1945 and operated a café for 1 ˝ years in Marble Rock after 1948. In recent years they have lived in Clear Lake and Ventura. He was employed by Davis and Keith, contractors.

He is survived by this wife, Fern; one son, Lawrence; a step son, James Davis, three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Frank (June) Hibner. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Out of town relatives attended the service from Webster City, Newton, Bayard, Parkersburg, Nashua, Marble Rock, Allison, Charles City, Rockford, and Vinton.
