Gould J. Campbell rites set.

Gould J. Campbell, 72, retired farmer and employee of the American Cystal Sugar Co., died early Monday in a Mason City hospital. Following retirement he had lived at 503 20th SE for the last year.

Mr. Campbell was born Oct. 25, 1892 on a farm near Marble Rock in Floyd County, son of William and Stella Campbell. The family moved to Mason City when he was five and he attended Mason City Schools.

As a young man, he spent several years farming near Lisbon, N.D., before returning to Mason City, where he started his employment with the American Crystal Sugar Co.

Mr. Campbell was married to Ruth Paschke, Feb. 25, 1925, at Chaska Minn.

He continued his employment with the American Crystal Sugar Company 18 years before moving back to the farm near Marble Rock, where farmed until he retired in 1958. In 1963 he moved to Mason City.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Mary) Plagge, Latimer; two sisters, Mrs Russell (Bess) Jensen and Miss Laura Campbell, both of Tuscon, Ariz. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Myrtle) Schultz, Rockford, and Willa Langford, Minneapolis, and a granddaughter.

The funeral will be at the Mayor-Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Stanley L. Carlsen, pastor of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Marble Rock.
Friends by call at the chapel from 3 p.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
