Cyrus E. Squier

Cyrus E. Squier was born January 20, 1859, in Lake County, Illinois. he came to Iowa when he was about 5 years of age and lived in Cedar Township. There he lived until the spring of 1881.

On December 1, 1897, he was married to Libbie Foster, who died April 15, 1911. A few years later he was married to Laura J. Demo, who died Sept. 20, 1920. Mr. Squier resided in Nora Springs until two years ago. Since then, he lived with his brother, Jay in Rockford. He died January 15, 1929.

The funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Rockford Thursday afternoon, January 17. Interment was in the Nora Springs cemetery. The Rev. Charles E. Luce officiated.
