Geo. W. Hain.

Geo. W. Hain was born at Elimsport, Lycoming Co., Penn. January 25, 1846, and died at Mason City, Iowa, Oct. 28, 1911, aged 65 years, 9 months and 11 days. He left his eastern home when quite young and went to Illinois, where he was married to Miss Sara V. Allen in 1867. They lived in Illinois several years, then moved to Rockford, Iowa. Mr. Hain has lived here since, except one year spent in Pennsylvania, two years in California visiting his son, and four years in Mason City, Iowa. Mrs. Hain died April 7, 1887. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hain joined the M. E. church in early childhood.

Mr. Hain is survived by his 8 children, namely, Mrs. Geo. McElroy and Mrs. Jay Squiers of Rockford, IA., Arthur A. of Bemidji, Minn., Clarence F., Wm. W. and Mrs. Clyde Crowell of Rockford, IA. Mrs. Vill Crowell, Rockwell, IA. and John E. of Modesto, California who was unable to be present. He is survived by one sister and one brother who live at Allenwood Penn., one brother at Shamokin, Penn. and a sister at Horton, Kansas.

The funeral services were held from the home of Mrs. Clyde Crowell, a daughter of the deceased last Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. M. Jayne. Those present from away were Mr. and Mrs. Jake Bower and Mrs. and Mrs. Henry Graham of Osage.
