CHARLES CITY, IOWA – Robert Groesbeck, 55, of Charles City, passed away Monday October 22, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.

Per his wishes, Robert has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City or the Floyd County Cancer Fund, Charles City.

Obituary for Robert Dean Groesbeck

Robert Groesbeck, 55, of Charles City, passed away Monday October 22, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.

Per his wishes, Robert has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City or the Floyd County Cancer Fund, Charles City.

Robert Groesbeck was born May 24, 1963, son of Ronald and Ruth (Camper) Groesbeck. He graduated from Charles City High School, class of 1981. Following high school, he enlisted into the Army and he served primarily in Germany until 1984. Robert moved back to the farm in Charles City, started his construction career and later opened his own business.

Robert enjoyed being on his farm and at the cabin by the river. He looked forward to being with his family and friends, especially the gatherings every Memorial Day weekend. Robert will be remembered for his love of listening and dancing to country music.

Robert is survived by his mother, Ruth Groesbeck of Charles City; six siblings: Lisa Beard, Steve (Veronica) Groesbeck, Rhonda (Steve) Wellik, Cindy (Jim) Johnson, Donna (Steve) High, Patti Stewart and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and their families.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Groesbeck; sister, Brenda Groesbeck.
