Obituary for Nadine Schneckloth
Nadine Schneckloth, 82, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.
A memorial service for Nadine Schneckloth will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the First Congregational Church in Charles City with Pastor Forrest Cornelius officiating. Inurnment will be at Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2018 at Hauser Funeral Home and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Nadine Kay (Davis) Schneckloth, the daughter of Glenn and Olive (Woodley) Davis, was born on October 9, 1936 in Hampton, Iowa. She attended school in Hansell, Iowa. While in high school she was on the basketball team, sang in the glee club, and played saxophone. She went on to college and received a degree in teaching. On July 20, 1958, Nadine was united in marriage to James Schneckloth in Hansell.
Nadine worked many years as a substitute teacher. She was a member of PEO, Women’s Auxiliary at the Floyd County Medical Center, and Women’s Fellowship at the First Congregational Church. Nadine enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, golfing, gardening, and ringing bells at church. She most enjoyed her time spent with family and loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Living family members include her two sons: Mark (Shirley) Schneckloth of California and Scott (Susan) Schneckloth of Plymouth, Iowa; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Glenda (James) Dee Woods; along with many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and granddaughter, Erika.
