BRAEND RITES TO BE TUESDAY

Farmer Near Charles City Dies Day before His 56th Birthday

CHARLES CITY – Irving H. Braend, who would have been 56 years old Sunday, died Saturday at 3:50 p.m. of leukemia, following an illness of two and one-half months.

Mr. Braend was born in this community and had spent many years of his life on a farm one mile south of Charles City.

He is survived by Mrs. Braend and two brothers; Clarence and Frank, both of Charles City.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Methodist church here with the Rev. John E. DeLong officiating. Burial will be made in Riverside cemetery.
