LUDWIG SWANT, 87, of Near Charles City, Dies

CHARLES CITY – Ludwig Swant, 87, died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. E. Huxson, Niles Township, following a brief illness from a brain hemorrhage. Mr. Swant came to this country 61 years ago from Germany.

Besides his daughter he is survived by six sons: Will and Amos of Charles City; August and Lou of Marble Rock; Ed of Glendale, Arizona, and Charles of Webster, South Dakota.

Funeral arrangements are awaiting word from one of the sons. The body is at the Grossman funeral home.
