Patricia Wright, age 99, of 3380 Walnut Avenue, Elma, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Colonial Manor in Elma.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Howardville Cemetery, rural Floyd.

Elsie Patricia “Pat” Glass was born September 9, 1917, in Biwaubik, Minnesota, to Edward Jr. and Elsa (Mattson) Glass. She received her education in Biwaubik and graduated high school from Ladysmith, Wisconsin. She attended Ladysmith, Wisconsin Normal School and taught in a rural school in Weyerhauser, Wisconsin. Pat was united in marriage to Wallace Wright on June 9, 1938, at Ladysmith, Wisconsin. They farmed in the Mitchell County area.

She was a homemaker and was an outstanding cook. She loved to read, garden, play cards and entertain. Family meant everything to her and she enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. Pat was a member of the United Church of Christ in Colwell, the WBA, an extension club and a neighborhood card club.

Pat is survived by one daughter, Susan (Don) Decklever of New Haven; five sons, Robert (Delores) of Colwell, Dean (Karen) of Osage, Richard (Marilyn) of Orchard, Keith (Diane) of Osage and David (Janet) of San Jose, California; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Wright of Charles City; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and her sister, Virginia Bruger of Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace in 1989; her parents; her sons, Donald in 1997 and Gerald in infancy; her brothers, Edward, Ruben, Roger and Earl Glass; and her sisters, Dorothy Larsen, Wyonah “Bobbie” Pittsley, and Geraldine Koditek.
