Beverly A. Graham, 81, of Rockford, Iowa died Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services are planned for 10:30 am, Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, 21 3rd ST. NW, Rockford. Officiating will be the Rev. Judy Wooton. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the church. Beverly was born the daughter of Arthur and Josephine Reams in Marble Rock, Iowa. She graduated from Rockford High School with the class of 1952. She was united in marriage to Lester McRoberts on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1954. To this union was born three children, Debra, Janet and Gary. Lester died on September 17, 1967 following a car train accident. Bev then moved to Rockford, where she spent 28 years as the bookkeeper for the Rockford Elevator, retiring in 1996.

Bev was married for the second time to Richard “Dick” Graham on March 11, 1974. They spent the next 41 years together until his death on May 1, 2015. Bev and Dick enjoyed camping but most especially time with the kids, grandkids and great grandchildren. She was a sports fanatic and didn’t really care the season or the games as long as she could watch them. Her favorites were the Hawkeyes, Vikings, Bulls and later the Timberwolves. Bev had a green thumb and would often revive plants others thought were dead into healthy beautiful flowers and plants. She kept one geranium going for over 21 years. She was also a member of the Rockford First United Methodist Church for over 69 years.

In her spare time she would grab a grandchild for a ride along as she ferried people to and from doctor and other appointments. In keeping with her wishes, she accomplished many more achievements but she didn’t want “fluff” in her obituary.

She leaves behind her love and memories to her three children, daughter Debra A. Engels and her children Jason (Amber) Engels, Alan Engels, Carson Engels, Serena (Eric) Staudt, Mikayla (Steven) Engels, and Weston Engels, daughter Janet and her husband David Fullerton and their children, Laura (Dustin) Howe, Jennifer (Jake) Hemann, Marc and Amy Fullerton, son Gary McRoberts and his family, Shane McRoberts, Nathan (Jackie) McRoberts, Lance (Dakota) McRoberts, and great grandchildren, Nathaniel Lawler, Heidi, Dylan, Cole, and Abby Howe, Jace and Tyler Hemann, Kiersten, Hayden, and Morgan McRoberts, and Brooklyn McRoberts, sisters Kathryn Ott, and Thelma (Bill) Ernst, sister-in-law Patty (Ivan) Meints, special friend Karla Putnam and longtime family friend Danny Paulus and her nieces and nephews who were more like brothers and sisters.

Proceeded in death by her husbands Lester and Dick, son-in-law John Engels, brother James Reams, sisters-in-law Ginny Reams and Harriet Higgins, and brothers-in-law Malcom Ott and James Higgins.
