CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Margaret Jean Cline, 74, of Charles City, Iowa, died Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Homes.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, at Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt Street.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, at United Church of Christ in Colwell, Iowa. Pastor Debra Lincoln will officiate.

Interment will follow at Beckwith Cemetery in Colwell.

Obituary for Margaret Jean Cline

Margaret Jean Cline, 74, of Charles City, Iowa, died Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Homes.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt Street. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at United Church of Christ in Colwell, Iowa. Pastor Debra Lincoln will be officiating. Interment will follow at Beckwith Cemetery in Colwell.

Margaret was born on April 14, 1942, in Charles City, Iowa. Her parents were Virgil and Alberta Wilson. She graduated from Colwell School. Margaret worked independently as a housekeeper for 5 years. On October 14, 1974, she was united in marriage to Gary Lee Cline. They had one son, Rick. The family resided in Charles City.

Margaret was very involved with C.B. radio clubs. She is a former member of the Cedar Rock C.B. Club, River City Tri County C.B. Club and N.E.I.C.B. Club. She was known through C.B. as “Little Red,” which was her nickname. At one time she was president and secretary of the Cedar Rock C.B. Club. Margaret was also a member of the Colwell United Church of Christ.

In her free time she enjoyed playing all kinds of card games and watching soap operas. Margaret loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spoiling those she loved.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Rick (Sue) Wilson of Osage, IA; Husband, Gary Cline of Charles City; grandchildren: Jennifer (Alex), Dana (Mike), Aimée (Jeremy), Bradley, Lyndsay and Deryk (Kelly); great-grandchildren: Alissa, J’lyneJo, Emma, Abigail, Nolan, Caden, Jana, Gemma and baby Michael Allen; sisters, Carol (Kenny) Sonka and Madeline (Michael) Knowlton; brothers, Clair and Edward Wilson; sister-in-law, Arlie Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Alberta Wilson; sister, Janet Wilson and brother, Alvin Wilson.
