Jean Graham, 96, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A funeral service for Jean Graham will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Hauser Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Beranek from Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City officiating. Burial will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.

Visitation will be at Hauser Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 and will continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Wilma Jean (Lewis) Graham, the daughter of Herbert and Jessie (Allen) Lewis, was born January 29, 1920 on the family farm near Powersville, Iowa. She was raised on the family farm near Powersville, graduating from Charles City High School. Jean was united in marriage to Claude W. Graham on August 3, 1940 at Powersville and the couple made their home in the Charles City area raising their family. They were married for almost 69 years before Claude's death.

Jean was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was involved with the Midis Church Circle. She was also active in the Charles City Woman's Club. Jean worked at Charles City Manufacturing for about 10 years where she was the final inspector on the products produced.

Living family members include her daughter, Claudia (Robert) Pine of Leland, North Carolina; two sons: James (Linda) Graham of Modesto, California and John Graham of Des Plaines, Illinois; five grandchildren: Melissa Alexander, Susan (David) Novais, Sarah Graham, Robert, Jr. (Pamela) Pine and Paul Graham; five great-grandchildren: Kathryn Alexander, Shelby Alexander, Olivia Novais, Juliana Novais and Makena Pine; three sisters: Ethel Ingram of Charles City, Eileen Trobaugh of Hayward, California and Catherine Youngdale of Sun City, Arizona; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude on June 10, 2009; sister, Leona Rowley; and her grandson by marriage, William Alexander.
