Louann Seibert, 64, of Greene, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25 at Retz Funeral Home, 519 N. 1st Street, Greene. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Louann Lord was born September 20, 1951, in Charles City, Iowa a daughter of Dean and Sylvia (Hardwick) Lord. She graduated with the class of 1969 from Greene High School.

On August 17, 1983 Louann was united in marriage with Bernard Seibert in Rugby. North Dakota. She followed him around the country as he traveled for his work.

Louann was trained as a CNA at North Iowa Community College in Peosta and worked at various nursing homes and hospitals.

Louann’s health caused her to leave the work field several years ago but she has been kept busy reading, sewing, watching TV and just getting out of the house. She especially loved time spent with her grandkids and dogs.

Family having fond memories of Louann include her husband, Bernard Seibert, Hampton; daughter: Cassandra (Daniel Smitley) Bakken, Greene, grandchildren: Meckenzie Lane and Jayden Bakken; sister: Sandra (Ron) Conley, Canyon Lake, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and aunt Marlys Lord.
