Marcia G. Petheram, 71, of Peoria, Arizona, formerly of Charles City, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Banner Hospice House in Sun City West, Arizona of cancer.

Marcia grew up in Charles City, Iowa and then moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts where she began her 35 year career with AT&T. She later moved to the Phoenix area to be closer to family and decided to stay. Marcia is survived by her brother, David (Jan) of Des Moines; niece, Laura Petheram of Ankeny; niece, Emily Petheram of Des Moines; nephew, Scott and his daughter, Payton of Des Moines; her aunt, Marje Worrell of Harwich, Massachusetts; plus many cousins and caring friends from both her workplace and her condo complex.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene & Marion Petheram of Sun City, Arizona and her favorite cocker spaniel, Maggie.

Marcia was a private person who cared deeply for her family. Marcia enjoyed going out to lunch with many friends in the area, making lengthy phone calls to family, keeping current on news & events, and shopping for and decorating her condo.

Graveside services of the cremains will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials be directed to First Congregational Church in Charles City and/or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
