NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Thomas N. Kelly, 65, of Nora Springs, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at home.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at the Lions Community Center, 16 S. Summit Ave., Nora Springs. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be directed to the Nora Springs Department of Parks and Recreation.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015, at the Lions Community Center, 16 South Summit Ave., Nora Springs.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be directed to the Nora Springs Department of Parks and Recreation.

Thomas Neal Kelly was born January 8, 1950, in Charles City, to John and Florence (Robertson) Kelly. He graduated from Nora Springs Rock Falls Consolidated Schools in 1968, before continuing his education at NIACC.

Tom worked in the construction trade as a millwright for many years, as well as a machinist. He had served on the Nora Springs Parks and Recreation board. Tom was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles, he also enjoyed spirited conversation.

Thomas is survived by his daughter, MiKayla Wilson, Oakdale, Minnesota; his granddaughter, Kira Wilson, Oakdale; one sister, Frances Irene (Jess) Herrera; two brothers, John (Shirley) Kelly, Charles City, and Anthony (Frank) Kelly-Morgan, Smithtown, N.Y.; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence (Robertson) Kelly.
