Dennis Mehman, 70, of Nashua, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at Saint John Lutheran Church in Nashua. Pastor Bill Nielsen will officiate. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua following the service.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Hauser Funeral Home and will continue an hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Dennis Dean Mehman, the son of Herman and Helen (Young) Mehman, was born on September 2, 1945 in Charles City. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1963. Dennis continued his education receiving a degree in Accounting from Hamilton Business College. He was a member of the Saint John Lutheran Church in Nashua. Dennis was united in marriage to Marylee Quade on April 25, 1965 at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. He worked at Skyline Harvestore, L&J Welding, retiring from A-Tec Energy in 2008. Dennis especially liked spending time with his grandchildren and his Saturday mornings at Superior Lumber putting hardware away.

Living family members include his wife of 50 years, Marylee Mehman of Nashua; three children: Paul (Heidi) of Charles City, Scott of Kansas City, Missouri, and Stacey (Dan) Berger of Nashua; six grandchildren: Brice, Cole, and Ty Berger, Katelyn Mehman, and Ben and Nich Mehman; and his companions: Misty and Lilly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harm and Hannah Mehman; parents; brother, Larry Mehman; and sister, Marlene Ripley.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa, 232 2nd Street SE, Mason City, Iowa 50401 and/or Saint John Lutheran Church in Nashua, 300 Merril Street, Nashua, Iowa 50658.
