HUDSON, IOWA - Adam Dean Liddle, 35, of Hudson, died Thursday, October 29, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, from sudden trauma.

He was born March 11, 1980, in New Hampton. He married Sue Jungbluth on January 4, 2003, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Charles City.

He graduated from Charles City High School in 1998 and then attended Hawkeye Community College for marketing and management. He was employed by TruGreen and then Royal Turf. He attended the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and received his badge on July 30, 2010, as a deputy with Black Hawk County. In June 2012, he became a police officer with the Waterloo Police Department.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Devon of Hudson; his father, Dean (Sally) Liddle of New Hampton; his mother, Julie (Mark) Nemmers of Spencer; paternal grandmother, Ellen Liddle of New Hampton; maternal grandparents, Maurice and Marilyn Randall of New Hampton; his father-in-law, Carl (Ronda) Jungbluth; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Keller of New Hampton; a sister, Alicia (Chris) Grimm of Osage; five stepsiblings, Chrissy (Bill) Sellon and Andrea Erion, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Shelly Erion of Los Angeles, Nicholas (Amber) Erion of Sumner and Janelle Erion of Ames; his wife’s brother, Eric (Jennifer) Jungbluth of New Hampton; two stepsisters, Tammy (Erik) Altman of Johnston and Laurie Smith of Altoona; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and law enforcement family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wendal Liddle.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, November 2, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Hudson Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Waterloo Police Department. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 1, at the church. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, An Overton Family Service, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.

Adam loved spending time with his family and friends. He was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye football fan, enjoyed swimming (standing in the shallow end of the pool chatting with friends), bike riding, CrossFit, and working in his yard. Adam will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
