Charles City - Mrs. Fred Vermilya, 75, Thursday at her home, following an illness since Saturday; born September 20, 1867, at Monmouth, Illinois; daughter of William and Elizabeth Lee Christie. On March 15, 1889 she was married to Fred Vermilya, at Monroe, Iowa.
One daughter Bonnie Lee preceded her in death in 1910. Leaves husband Fred Vermilya, owner of the Charles City Trading Store, and three sisters; Mrs. O. H. Sawyers, Seymour; Mrs. J. F Reed, Ottumwa, and Mrs. J. D. Johnston, Charles City.
Funeral services Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Grossmann's Chapel; burial in Riverside Cemetery.
