Tami was born November 16, 1963, in Burlington, Iowa, to Mavis (Charleson) Cox, and developed a relationship later in life with her father, Merle Kuppinger. She graduated in 1982 from Mason City High School.

While in high school she met the love of her life and best friend, Kim Billings of Nora Springs. They married June 5, 1982, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Soon after that, their journey into parenthood began with the birth of Courtney Billings in October 1982, Brandon Billings in August 1985 and Jenna Theis in December 1986.

Tami was an incredibly hard worker, taking on various tasks and being a Jack-of-all-trades. Tami held many talents. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting, gardening, cake decorating and her 3 dogs: Bosley, Homer and Roxy. She was a lover of life and enjoyed rides on her Harley-Davidson Road King. Her greatest love and joy was encompassed within her 6 grandchildren Brice, Chloe, Keira, Kane, Millie and Jax.

Tami touched the lives of so many people in a variety of ways. She had such a wonderful energetic presence and a beautiful soul; she loved with everything she had. She was and will remain an amazing inspiration of courage and bravery. She fought the fight of her life for 4 long years, but never wavered in strength and grace while facing the inevitable.

She LIVED her life every day and did not take her time for granted. This amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend is going to be deeply missed. Tami's only wish upon her passing was that those that knew her and loved her only cry for a short time and then celebrate this life that she loved so much.

Those grateful in sharing in her life are her husband, Kim Billings, Nora Springs; daughter, Courtney Billings and fiance Brian Arnoldussen; son Brandon Billings and wife Samantha Billings; and daughter, Jenna Theis; along with her 6 beautiful grandchildren that she loved so dearly. There are also many aunts and uncles and in-law's that she held very close to her heart.

Tami was preceded in death by her mother, Mavis (Charleson) Cox, and her father Merle Kuppinger.
