FORT WORTH, TEXAS - Dennis Cecil Kleen, age 75, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, July 26, 1939, passed away in Hospice Center, Fort Worth, Texas, January 20, 2015.

Son of Ardamae Steinke and Cecil Kleen, he grew up on a farm on the edge of Rudd, Iowa, graduated from Rudd Consolidated High School in 1957, and Hamilton Business College. He worked as an auditor for Farmers Grain Dealers, Des Moines, Iowa. In 1963 he moved to California. He worked for the State of California, Division of Corporations as a field auditor. Throughout his career he worked in accounting, management, and tax.

His interests included riding his Harley, cars, golfing, camping, gardening, cooking, making homemade ice cream, and feeding stray kitties. Dennis had a great sense of humor, a hearty laugh, and was a very good story teller.

In 2008, he moved to Texas to help his son remodel and maintain property.

Cause of death was due to a stroke and heart failure.

He was preceded in death by both parents; son-in-law Jared Wright.

He will greatly be missed by friends and surviving family: brother Darrel Kleen (Carol), Hurricane, Utah; sister Darla Billings (significant other Larry Kerchner), Surprise, Arizona; son Ted Kleen, Lake Worth, Texas; daughter, Camille Wright, Irvine, California; five grandchildren, Anthony, Jacob (Cecelia), Raylee, Jack, and Lucas; several nieces and nephews; special friend Sandra Zimmerebner.

Suggested donations be given to American Heart Assoc. or to an animal shelter of choice.

Dennis Kleen

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - Dennis Cecil Kleen, 75, formerly of Rudd, died January 20, 2015, in Hospice Center, Fort Worth, Texas.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 10, at the Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, the with Rev. Robert Hoover officiating.

A reception will follow in Rudd Methodist Church basement for family and friends, with lunch and sharing of memories.
