Amelia (Litterer) Hauser – September 12, 1890 – May 26, 1969
MRS. FRED HAUSER
Mrs. Fred (Amelia) Hauser, age 78, was called from this life early Monday morning, May 26. She had been in failing health for a number of months.
Amelia, daughter of Gottlieb Litterer and Magdalene Vetter, was born September 12, 1890, in Floyd County, Iowa. She attended school and grew to womanhood in this area and spent all of her adult life here. She married Fred Hauser February 25, 1915.
Mrs. Hauser was baptized and confirmed in St. John’s United Church of Christ and was a member of its Women’s Fellowship.
She is survived by one brother W. F. Litterer of Charles City; and an uncle, Ben Litterer of Charles City.
She is survived by two daughters Helen (Mrs. Paul Stille) and Louella (Mrs. Edwin Stirm).
Surviving also are four sons; Leonard of rural Clarksville; Theophil of rural Nashua; Eldon of rural Clarksville; and Paul of Ford Dodge; and 21 grandchildren.Mrs. Hauser was preceded in death by her husband.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 28, from the Pleasant Hill Church,The Rev. Merlin Dietrich officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
