Clifford Lynn Reed – January 29, 1892 – April 11, 1974

CLIFFORD REED RITES HELD IN MARBLE ROCK MONDAY

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, April 15, in Reid’s Funeral Chapel, Marble Rock, for Clifford Reed, 82. Rev. Gordon Taylor of Calvary Baptist Church in Greene, was in charge of the service. Burial was in Westside Cemetery, Marble Rock.

Clifford Reed was born January 29, 1892 at Marble Rock to George & Katherine Ludwig Reed. He married Wilma Wilson in March 1924. She preceded him in death April 1972. They spent their life together farming in Scott & Union Townships, & became the parents of a daughter Catherine & a son Lloyd.

Survivors include the daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Catherine) Woodruff, Hampton; a son Lloyd Reed, Marble Rock; one brother, Maynard Reed, Marble Rock; 4 sisters, Mrs. Ecco Cates, Nashua; Mrs. Ilo Bass, Marble Rock; Mrs. Orpha Truex, Greene, & Mrs. Nola Scott, Des Moines, and 4 grandchildren.
