Eva Merl (Ritter) Nott – February 17, 1891 – July 24, 1950

Mrs. John A. Nott of Charles City, formerly Eva Ritter of Marble Rock, passed away July 24 at Cedar Valley hospital where she had been a patient for the past two weeks, following a several month's illness.

Funeral services were held at the funeral home for Charles City friends at 1 p.m. Wednesday, and at the Baptist church in Marble Rock at 2:00 o'clock, with the Rev. Charles Fox officiating.

Mrs. Nott was born at Marble Rock February 17, 1891.

She worked at home until her marriage to John Nott at Marble Rock February 9, 1910. They moved to North Dakota where they farmed until 1936, when they moved to Charles City.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Gladys Willert; Mrs. Kenneth Quade, Lloyd Nott, William Nott, all of Charles City; Mrs. Wilbert Nixt, Greene; Warren Nott, Fenimore, Wisconsin: one sister, Mrs. Arthur Reams, Marble Rock; five brother, Cliff Ritter and Frank Ritter, Charles City; Jud Ritter, Marble Rock; Harley Ritter, Rockford; and Leo Ritter, Mason City; also nine grandchildren.

Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death. `

Burial was in West Side cemetery at Marble Rock.
