Nettie (Lines) Moffett – March 12, 1873 – May 21, 1965

RITES HELD FOR NETTIE MOFFETT, 92

Mrs. Nettie Moffett was born on March 12, 1873 and passed away on Friday evening, May 21, at her home in Marble Rock at the age of 92 years.

Nettie Moffett was one of the twelve children born to Peter and Nancy Judd Lines and was a lifelong resident of Marble Rock.

She was married to Albert Moffett on July 4, 1893. They lived to observe their 70th wedding anniversary on July 4, 1963, and on this unusual occasion received greetings and best wishes from far and wide. Albert preceded her in death on May 28, 1964.

Three children were born to this union. A daughter, Beatrice, died in infancy.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lenora Huggett, of Marble Rock and a son, Blair Moffett, of Greene; a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert F Adamek, of St. Paul, Minnesota; a grandson Wesley Graves, of Raytown, Missouri; a great-grandson, Jeffrey Graves; and a sister, Mrs. Laura Weygint, of Denver, Colorado.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Moffett residence in Marble Rock, with Rev. G. F. Butler, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was held in West Side Cemetery at Marble Rock. Reid’s Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
