CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Audrey Hubert, 80, of Charles City, died Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at the New Life Community Church in Charles City. Pastor Rod Rindahl and Pastor Ryan Hairgrove will officiate.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in Sparta, Wisconsin.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Audrey Hubert, 80, of Charles City, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service for Audrey Hubert will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the New Life Community Church in Charles City. Pastor Rod Rindahl and Pastor Ryan Hairgrove will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Sparta, Wisconsin.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Audrey Ann (Dickenson) Hubert, the daughter of Elwin and Pearl (Parsneau) Dickenson, was born April 13, 1935 in Sparta, Wisconsin. She attended school in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 1953.

Audrey was united in marriage to Theodore Richard Hubert, Sr. on July 23, 1954 in Sparta, Wisconsin and this union was blessed with five children. She had a daycare in her home when the couple lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The family moved to Iowa in 1974 and Audrey worked in the pharmacy at Red Owl alongside Jerry Kayle.

Later, Jerry bought the pharmacy and she went along with him. Audrey eventually found herself working in health and beauty aids at Hy-Vee in Charles City and she retired from Hy-Vee after working for them for 15 years.

Audrey was a member of the New Life Community Church, Women of the Moose and First Citizens Heritage Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and making flower arrangements for weddings. Audrey was very close with her family and loved spending time and memories with all of them.

Living family members include her husband, Theodore Hubert, Sr. of Charles City; four children: Rhonda Paul of Colwell, Gail Hubert of Colwell, Theodore Hubert Jr. (Jody) of Mitchellville and Tracey (Joel) Brueseke of Waterloo; six grandchildren: Amber (Doug) Barr, Nicholas (Katie) Trask, Landon Nelson, Chelsea (Nate) Johnson, Jared Brueseke and Noelle Brueseke; six great-grandchildren: Austin Barr, Tanner Barr, Trennedy Barr, Trystan Barr, Macheala Trask and Kylie Trask; brother, Douglas (Deloris) Dickenson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sister, Eleanor Evans of Sparta, Wisconsin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Hubert and two brothers: Dale Dickenson and Donny Dickenson.
