CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Funeral services for Paul Raymond "Clutch" Kirsch Sr., 62, of Charles City will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greene with the Rev. Msgr. Walter Brunkan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Greene.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at Retz Funeral Home, 519 N. First St., Greene, with a 7 p.m. wake service.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Paul Kirsch Memorial Fund, Box 219, Greene, IA 50636.

OBITUARY--

Funeral services for Paul Raymond ‘Clutch’ Kirsch Sr., 62, of Charles City, will be 10:30 a.m, Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Walter Brunkan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2015, at Retz Funeral Home, 519 N. First St. Greene.

Paul Raymond Kirsch was born on April 10, 1953, in Roseville, Floyd Co., Iowa, the son of Matthew and Florence (Logan) Kirsch and passed away on June 26, 2015 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. He received his education in catholic school and Greene High School.

Clutch was married to Carol Miller on March 29, 1979 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greene. The marriage was blessed with three sons.

Clutch worked for Sherman Nursery, the Greene Farm Equipment and Agriculture Services, and for the Rockford Brick and Tile Company. He also made himself available to friends and neighbors taking on odd jobs around the neighborhood.

He enjoyed scraping junk, attending flea markets, cutting wood, hunting, antiques, playing scratch tickets and most of all spending time playing with his grandchildren. Clutch had a big heart and would help anyone in need. He was a kind man and lived a simple life.

Clutch is survived by his children: Paul Jr. ‘Double Clutch’ (Kayla) Kirsch., Charles City; Matthew ‘Slip Clutch’ Kirsch, Charles City, Raymond ‘Tripot Clutch’ (Tiffany) Kirsch, Charles City; grandchildren: Connor, Skilar, Kerstin, Kyle, Jacob; one brother, Roger Kirsch, New Underwood, S.D.; one step-sister, Jeanea (Robert) LaVigne; one step-brother, Ed Heyenga Jr.; two aunts: Linda Logan, Charles City; Mary Mehman, Charles City; many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence; father, Matthew; uncles, Carl Mehman; Tom (Nora) Meighan; Ed Logan, Virgil (Evelyn)Houdek Sr.; step-father, Ed Hegenga.
